Protect wallet access

MetaMask: safety and security guidance advises keeping recovery phrases and private keys private and using trusted software and careful transaction review. Recovery information can grant control of funds; it is not an order identifier or a payment receipt.

Before approving a transaction

  • Open the intended website through a verified address.
  • Compare the destination, asset, network, and amount with the current order.
  • Review what the wallet actually asks you to authorize.
  • Do not treat an unsolicited recovery or support message as trusted.
  • Retain the transaction identifier and order reference.

Do not enter a recovery phrase into this store’s checkout or share it through a contact message. Payment assistance should use the order and public transaction details needed to investigate the transfer.

Use current provider guidance

Wallet interfaces and recovery models can change. Follow the documentation for the wallet and account type you actually use. This article does not ask anyone to expose keys, connect a wallet, sign a message, or transfer funds. A familiar wallet logo or token name cannot by itself authenticate a destination.
